This superb self-contained annexe is quietly attached to the owner’s home. Nestled in the sleepy village of Cutthorpe, in the heart of Derbyshire, you can explore the Peak District National Park within a few minutes drive. With open countryside views to the front and beautiful fields to the rear, Cutthorpe village is semi-rural and home to the fabulous Linacre Reservoirs, which are surrounded by fields and bluebell woods which provide many walking trails for all abilities. Cutthorpe benefits from three local pubs, each of which serve food, and there is a whole host of attractions within easy travelling distance. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle can all be reached in less than 30 minutes, as can the towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield and even the city of Sheffield. For the energetic, Carsington Water has cycling routes and sailing available, and can be reached in around 45 minutes. For those bigger thrills, Alton Towers can be reached in around an hour. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 175 yards away.

Our first impression when arriving at Woodview Lodge was WOW! It is a real home from home, well equipped and set back from the road in beautiful gardens. Karen and Mick are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The surrounding area is full of stunning walks, which our dog really enjoyed. A short drive and you are in the heart of the dales, with breathtaking scenery and walks. We would not hesitate to recommend Woodview Lodge and will definitely be returning ourselves.

Woodview Lodge is an amazing place to stay, Karen and Mick were so welcoming. The lodge was so clean and comfy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay. We are definitely going to look into going next year.

My mother and I spent an enjoyable week in Woodview Lodge at the end of June. The bungalow was easy to find, had ample parking and was clean throughout. The owners live nextdoor and were helpful when an occasional question arose. An informative folder of useful information was provided and I found the WiFi to be reliable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. I can't comment on the local amenities because we ate all our meals indoors. The village of Cutthorpe was quiet and Chesterfield town centre was only a ten minute drive away. In summary, I'd thoroughly recommend a stay at Woodview Lodge.
