Mandy and Ron were wonderful hosts, on hand if you needed them but otherwise fully respected your privacy. We were pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were for our infant and dog. They left toys for our little one and a basket full of useful things for the dog. The stair gate was also very practical. Cleanliness of the property was excellent, everything and more that you could ever need!! Beds were very comfortable like a giant marshmallow. Property is decorated and furnished to a high standard. We felt very at home and comfortable. We loved the cows as neighbours in the behind field and sheep up the lane. Beautiful views from both the front and the rear. Cottage is secluded and a very quiet location. Dogs needed to be kept on a lead in the garden due to livestock but this wasn’t a problem for us. Garden is steeper than images suggest. Loved our stay and hope to return one day. Thank you for making us ALL feel so welcome.

The Owd House is a lovely house in a beautiful location. We had a wonderful stay, enjoying the beautiful views and lovely walks both straight from the house and across the Peak District. The beds were very comfortable. The back garden was lovely and great for the dog that it was fully enclosed.

This pretty stone cottage is set in a wonderfully rural and peaceful location, We could enjoy breakfast from the picnic bench with wide countryside views every morning . Inside, everything has been renovated to a very high standard — stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, and the beds were very comfortable. Our host, who lives next door, was lovely: warm and helpful. A perfect spot for anyone looking for quiet, comfort, and beautiful scenery.
