Highfield Cottage is a wonderful retreat for a couple looking for a peaceful break, there's even a sofa bed sleeping two if you fancy bringing the kids along. Arrive at your wonderful holiday destination and enter through the back entrance found in the spacious rear garden through lovely white french doors. The contemporary open-plan living area boasts gleaming natural light, where you can rustle up a delicious evening meal for two in the stylish kitchen, fitted with contemporary navy fixtures and amenities including a sleek oven and grill with a built-in microwave, and a lovely timber dining seating centered in the room, surrounded by attractive decor of potted plants and charming ornaments. We enjoyed a fantastic week here intending to wind down and relax, and thatâs exactly what we did. I totally recommend staying here if you want a perfect base and want to relax. There is a canal 100 metres along the road that has the most peaceful walks in either direction. It might not suit people who want lots of sightseeing or local places to visit, we loved it though. The hosts were absolutely perfect.
