We were allowed into our cottage 3 hours late due to a maintenance issue (which we understood but this did mean it altered our plans for the entire day as we couldn’t check in until 6pm) on arrival we were completely underwhelmed. The properties cleanliness was questionable, dirty windows, smelt of cigarettes, cobwebs, stained carpets. No tea, coffee or sugar (luckily we take our own) but considering the time we were allowed into the property and the delay a pint if milk would have been nice. In our opinion not suitable for dogs, no manual on where to take them and all the surrounding areas is farmland so you are unsure of where you can go. No manual for equipment or information on what is around the area, make sure you do this research yourself. Bare minimum provided for everything. No hair dryer (make sure you take your own) beds were comfortable but the pillows were so firm that we had to buy some just so we could sleep. The only positive I could really share about the property was that they provided lots of toilet roll. We would not recommend and we will not be returning.

We stayed at pondside with family to celebrate a birthday we found the house very homely and clean and the beds are very comfortable . We went to the wheatsheaf pub a couple of times and the food is highly recommended and also the ye olde red lion at bicker is highly recommended as we went there for a birthday meal.

We had a lovely short break at Pondside. The house is spacious, very clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The patio and garden area were also great and the large area for off road parking was much appreciated. It’s a great location for exploring all that this part of Lincolnshire has to offer.
