In Lincolnshire, there is a lovely market town called Alford. About 11 miles to the northwest of the seaside resort of Skegness, it is situated at the base of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A wide variety of stores are present, including a pharmacy, a grocery store, two butchers, and a sizable store that specialises in doll houses and their accessories. Alford has grown to be a significant arts and crafts hub thanks to the numerous markets that take place there all year long. Every Tuesday and Friday, the major market is held in the Market Place. Additionally, there are annual Christmas markets and an August Bank Holiday craft market. The Grade 1 listed functioning windmill in Alford is famous for producing stone-ground organic flour for industry. With its museum, exhibitions, tea room, and open gardens, Alford Manor House serves as the town's focal point. Alford is located on the Lincolnshire Wolds, so there are many walking and biking paths to take. You can also visit the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway or Claythorpe Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens, which have plenty of space to sit and relax and offer fantastic views of the old mill. In less than 30 minutes, you can reach Skegness and Mablethorpe, two seaside towns with wonderful beaches that make wonderful playgrounds for both kids and adults. Visit the towns of Louth or Horncastle for something different; they both have a good selection of stores and bars as well as frequent street and farmers markets. You will not want for things to do during your stay in this beautiful region of Lincolnshire.

Thanks to Paul for his recommendation of the Beach Bar for fab food. Lots to see and do, good info pack and lovely welcome basket ❤️

Great shower and bath. The secure garden is great for 4 legged friends, immaculately kept as are all the surrounding grounds, obviously well loved and cared for. Our only gripe was the stools at the table(which we had already seen on the photos) fine for breakfast but not very conducive to evening dining, especially for off season when guests maybe stay in more of an evening, especially us! Or perhaps just us! Other than that a great stay with everything you need, thoughtful welcome basket
