Lovingly converted and set on a farm, furniture updated July 2021 this former granary offers spacious, detached accommodation for two people, just 4 miles from the coast and its sandy beaches which offer miles of unspoilt walks. Whether its a base from which to explore the east coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds, also nearby, or simply somewhere to sit and relax in front of the wood burner with a good book, The Old Granary is ideal. There are good walks and cycle routes from the door, with the coast approximately a 10-minute drive away. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is 9 miles away, with plenty of entertainment for everyone including the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. During the winter months, visit the seal pups at Donna Nook. The market town of Alford is a 10-minute drive, whilst the Georgian market town of Louth, which still has 3 markets a week, is about half an hour by car and is always worth a visit with its many shops, local butchers and very good selection of cafés and pubs. The beach is within 4 miles, shops, pubs and restaurant within 2 miles.

We arrived on the hottest June week but on arrival the cottage was cool owing to the curtains having thoughtfully being closed to keep the sun out.Both inside and outside were welcoming as were the owners who checked in via messages during the week and soon came round when we reported a small problem..Our dog was well catered for with treats, a fleece throw and towels for wet feet(not needed on this occasion.All in all a very relaxing experience and we hope to get back soon.

Excellent week spent at The Old Granary. Idyllic location, completely peaceful at night. Perfect sitting in the hot tub hearing only bird song. The cottage was everything we hoped for and we were not disappointed at all. We visited somewhere everyday, some further than I expected, for example Lincoln Cathedral was over an hour away but the drive was lovely and it was definitely worth it. Louise and Richard were really helpful, perfect hosts. I would most definitely recommend this cottage.

We've just returned from a weekend away at this idyllic cottage and it was superb. The cottage itself is much bigger than I anticipated, immaculately clean, the most comfortable bed and the hot tub was amazing. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and beautiful and its only a short drive to the nearest beach with stunning views. The host was amazing, making sure we has settled in and that we had everything we needed. Will most definitely be back.
