What a fantastic converted barn, wonderful place to stay, 3 massive bedrooms, beds really comfortable, lots of space to relax, all creature comforts catered for loved staying here. Plus the addition of private parking, they allow you to bring your dog to come stay with you & theres a mirror image of the accommodation right next door, so could have a bigger family group come away together.

We stayed as a group - 4 adults and 1 child - for the New Year and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Dragonfly Den was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the open plan living area which made it very good for socialising. The television was a modern smart TV, as you would expect, which was easy to use. The bedrooms were huge and beds comfortable. There was no mobility issues for our party but the downstairs bedroom and walk in en-suite shower would make this perfect accommodation for anybody with these requirements.It was a very cold week, there was no restriction on heating at all, which is controlled by a Thermostat and this ensured we were warm, cosy and comfortable throughout the stay.It’s a 2 minute drive into Horncastle or alternatively it is a 10 to 15 minute walk down to Horncastle which is uphill on the way back. Within Horncastle, there is an Asda Express with Petrol Station, a Co-Op and a Tesco. It also has a couple of pubs, bakeries and a takeaway - Sunny’s - which we particularly enjoyed. It’s a 30 minute drive to Lincoln or just over an hour to Hull. There is also a bus - the number 56 - which you can get from Horncastle to Lincoln and Skegness which is convenient too.Abi, the owner, was available for any questions we had via Whats App.We didn’t book the accommodation that is part of the same building (but completely separate) which is Heron’s Den but it is exactly the same as Dragonfly Den and I think it would definitely be suitable for bigger groups who still would like some of their own space.We would have preferred a bigger fridge rather than two separate smaller ones and the downstairs shower to be a little more powerful. But these are very minor things and we would definitely return!

Cottage was a perfect base for a long weekend, with trips to Lincoln and Lough. Cottage was spotless and very comfortable. Hassle free arrival and departure, via the key safe.
