Situated in the family, coastal resort of Sutton-on-Sea, on the main road where it joins Sandilands, these single-storey properties provide a lovely base for a holiday. Drift Wood and Sea Shells (refs 29958 and 29959) are attached and Crab Cottage (ref 29960) is detached – they all offer fantastic holiday accommodation. The area has a lot of activities for everyone, with the coastal resort of Mablethorpe close by and Sandilands golf course is 1 mile away. With the sandy beaches within walking distance and shops and pub also a stroll away, there is no need to use the car, but if you want to explore further along the coast, the busy seaside resort of Skegness is 14 miles away, the market towns of Alford, 7 miles and Louth, 20 miles, are all worth a day out. There is also a nearby bus stop which is the main bus route from Skegness to Mablethorpe. There is a popular hotel with a bar close by with two tennis courts. Free fishing is also available nearby. Guests get a 10% discount at The Stables bar and restaurant. Beach 5-minute walk. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Lovely quiet cottage, situated on outskirts of SoS for easy access to the beach and 15 minute walk to resort centre. Ideal base for exploring that area of the east coast, we will definitely be using it again as we love that area.Couple of small suggestions for improvement:Few extra wine glasses, only 2 provided.Provide lamp / uplighter for corner of lounge to RH side of TV as alternative to wall lights (we used lamp from spare bedroom)Conflicting information re use of binsBed in master bedroom is extremely comfortable but very creaky with slightest movement, maybe replace.

Was nice to find a cottage with nice comfortable sofas and beds, however the double bed is ridiculously squeaky at the slightest movement.Would have been nice to have more than 4 wine glasses and a few more bowls and side plates although there were plenty of dinner plates.WiFi is patchy which was disappointing in the evenings, there is nothing within walking distance from the cottage which we were aware of so we did stay in during the evenings so better wifi would be good.The complimentary tea and coffee was a nice thought but a pint of milk would have been useful so we could make a drink whilst unpacking.The cottage was warm which was great and it feels really spacious.The garden is nice and would be lovely in the summer. A working outside light would be useful, luckily we took torches so we could see when we let the dog out at night.All in all a comfortable stay but a little attention to detail would make it perfect.
