Beacon Cottage is a charming and peaceful retreat, praised for its excellent location close to local amenities, countryside walks, and Skegness. Guests consistently highlight the relaxing hot tub, enclosed garden ideal for dogs, and the warm, welcoming hosts. The cottage is generally clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches noted by some visitors. While a few guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and occasional bedding concerns, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a popular choice for couples, families, and pet owners seeking a relaxing break.
Most guests found the cottage spotlessly clean and well-presented, with particular praise for the hot tub's cleanliness. However, a small number of reviews mentioned issues with bedding and towels smelling musty or appearing less than pristine, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to shops, pubs, public transport, and countryside walks, as well as being a short drive from Skegness. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and convenience for exploring the area.
The cottage is described as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with underfloor heating and spacious rooms. Some guests noted issues with the pull-out bed and room temperature, but most found the beds and living spaces comfortable for a relaxing stay.
Facilities such as the hot tub, enclosed garden, and kitchen amenities are well-received. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues (e.g., hot tub jets, shower head, garden furniture) and a lack of windows for ventilation, but overall, the facilities meet or exceed expectations.
Many guests appreciated the friendly, helpful hosts and thoughtful touches like tea, biscuits, and milk sachets. While some guests received these small gifts, please note that such extras are not guaranteed for every stay.
Beacon Cottage is perfectly placed for the popular family tourist destinations of Skegness and Boston, with the added bonus of a hot tub upon your return.. 1 step to entrance.
