We found the cottage to be clean and well equipped, the hot tub was large but was only heated to 36degrees which isn’t very warm especially as it dropped even more. The mattress was also very lumpy and hard on the double bed. Overall with a couple of tweaks i would definitely recommend Granary cottage. The local pubs were nice and friendly the Woolpack had beautiful food.

Beautiful setting. Friendly helpful staff. Fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms very clean and beds are comfortable. Unfortunately the cottage has a few down sides. It's very dark all day even with all the lights and lamp on. Sofas are very old and covered with dog hair (clothes were full of white dog hair). Throws should be available for people with pets to cover the sofas. We took the throws off the beds to cover the sofas. Bathroom is in desperate need of refurbishment, the shower over the bath doesn't drain very fast and the bath becomes very slippery. Hard to clean as the shower screen is fixed. So you have to be very careful when you have had a few showers. The small patio area is OK. Hot tub was nice but only checked once while we were there. We were there for a week. Hot tub is not totally private as you are over looked by t buses and trucks travelling past. Garden could do with an over haul as there isn't much grass due to the trees in the garden. The rest of the site is well kept.

Another great break in Wainfleet. We’ve stayed here a number of times but this was our first time at Granary cottage. Nice and homely with all the right equipment for a week away.
