There are 2 extra futon beds available on request. . Head Brewers House (formerly known as Merrilodge), the former home of George Bateman and family as well as the Head Brewer’s house. This lovely family house has a swimming pool in the large garden with an entertaining area to the side, perfect for al fresco dining. Spacious accommodation awaits you with two large living rooms. Refurbished in 2021 to provide holiday accommodation, this is one of five properties available at the Brewery to enjoy. As well as its own large lawned garden and swimming pool guests can also enjoy the large shared garden adjacent to the Brewery Windmill which runs alongside the River Steeping where you can also fish from the bank. Discounted Brewery tours are available, which include sampling and the small market town of Wainfleet has a good range of shops, pubs, takeaways and a railway station a short walk away for days out. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness with its sandy beaches, fairground, amusements and aquarium is 5 miles to drive or just a short train ride away. Shops 300 yards and pub 95 yards.

The house and location was lovely. We did wonder if sharing bathrooms might be a problem but it wasn’t at all. We didn’t use the bedrooms in the attic but they were set up beautifully. somebody previously had left the frying pans in a state so we had to clean all them up to use them. The tall long thin oven was the only oven we could use on the right hand side the others we couldn’t get to work. The garden was beautiful. The hot tub was warm. We even used the swimming pool very cold but good fun. We had a problem with the window but it was sorted within minutes. Would recommend anybody to come to this house. It was a great Week.

Fabulous house with everything you need. (Except a cafetière and a large teapot) Lovely and clean, super comfy beds. Great showers with good water pressure. Great kitchen area, awesome dining room and living room. Outside areas are fabulous. Had an amazing time in the hot tub. If you are brave enough to go in the freezing pool (like me) then lots of fun to be had. I promise once you’re used to the cold it’s fine. I would gladly pay extra to have the pool heated as this was the only thing that would have improved the stay, as some of the party couldn’t get in the pool,Chinese up the road was great and we had a lovely meal at The Angel and Peacock on Sunday.Quick journey to the beach on the train is well worth it.Everyone in the party had a great time. I would definitely return..I did experience one issue with the booking side in regard to the check in email, I did not receive this and had to chase it up. I got a WhatsApp message after calling the phone number with the key code,

Lovely weeks stay, it was great just jumping on the train which took us straight into Skegness on a bank holiday Monday it saved us stressed parking etc…It’s just a shame the pool was so cold. The hot tub was good but all of the controls are broken meaning no bubbles
