Enjoy a summer BBQ in the lawned garden. This detached holiday lodge is ideally located for exploring Lincoln and Newark.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Lawned garden with terrace, garden furniture and barbecue. 60-acre natural grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the grounds.. Situated in 60 acres of countryside just a short drive to Lincoln and Newark, these comfortable, detached lodges, Humphrey-Basil Lodge (ref UKC2176), Winston Lodge (ref W43482), Oscar Lodge (ref W43483) and George Lodge (ref W43484), offer an excellent base from which to explore the area, or to simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this tranquil location, in addition to the tranquil setting, stunning countryside views and alpacas grazing. The Timothy Suite (UKC2177) also has stunning countryside views and is situated on Birchdale farm yard.
We have a beautiful Woodland walk for our guests to enjoy, which takes a circular route around our 60 acre farm. Your dog’s have their own enclosed field - Bertie’s playpen - to let off steam.
Lincoln is well known for its Christmas market, famous cathedral and castle, which houses the Magna Carta Centre. The Bailgate shopping area of Lincoln has many restaurants and shops. It is a great place to explore, and a walk down the hill into the centre of the city takes you to the vibrant Brayford Wharf area. Newark Showground is about 10 minutes’ drive away, and is well known for its international antique fairs. There are good walks and cycle routes from the door, as well as golf courses in the local area. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Lost Village Music Festival 2021 26th-29th August inclusive is directly opposite the lodges - please be aware there will be noise until the early hours, and the access road will be closed but you will still be able to get through.George Lodge is having a Glamorous makeover for 2022. Winston Lodge is adding a Kingsize bed to the master bedroom for 2022

We had a lovely time staying at Oscar Lodge! The welcome gifts were so thoughtful and all the essentials were provided (washing up items, toilet rolls, condiments etc). Of course the Alpacas were the stars of the show - we loved to watch them. The woodland walk was perfect and the piano provided a lot of entertainment (even though none of us could actually play). Witham St Hugh’s is a short drive and has a co-op. Newark air museum is also close and worth a visit (dog friendly) and we can recommend Hickory’s Smokehouse restaurant for a very tasty meal!

We had a wonderful stay at Oscar lodge. The lodge is spacious, clean and lovely and cosy with everything you need and it’s such a beautiful peaceful setting. Our daughter loved the piano which was one of our main reasons for booking and I loved the Alpacas which was the other reason!!! Claire the owner is responsive and helpful we really couldn’t fault it and are already looking to go againThanks for an amazing stay!!

This is an amazing lodge. We loved the calm, peaceful place with the Alpacas right outside the front of the lodge!Loved that it had the piano in this lodge and we enjoyed using the pool table, darts and ping pong in the seperate games room. This was well stocked with cds, dvds, books and even piano scores/books.The circular walk around the grounds following the arrows was just what was needed. We will be back!
