This is the perfect place for quiet, calm, relaxing break for couples, family! Sorry for my late review, but I would like to say huge thank you to Paula, the owner lady for everything! She is been absolutely so welcoming, helpful, nice and kind.. the lodge was equipped with everything Inneed for a self catering place. We've been welcomed with many thinks in the lodge, like eggs, milk, butter, jam, bread, biscuits available on our arrival .We really appreciate it so much! Couole times during our visit Paula brought us some more jars of different jams, all homemade, and other things for my kids. Thank you so much ! She didn't need to, but she did. And I think this is very kind of her! I highly recommend the place, everything was nicely arranged for our break, clean, towels Inneed , even extra more towels and extra duvets, pillows. Toilet rolls, and everything actually! In great location, you can't see and hear nothing around, just birds... So nice, all green around. Had a nice small garden and barbecue! Anything we need help with Paula was always there for us! Also as I read in some reviews about the bath water been cold, seriously never had any problems , always everywhere hot water was available, in the bath, second bathroom, shower , kitchen. no problem at all. It was great! Would love to be back there in the future for another longer break hopefully, as we really liked the area, and around! I highly recommend Windy Roost lodge!

Wonderful holiday home with everything you could possibly want in a beautiful, tranquil setting. The accommodation is first class - clean, fresh and everything looks brand new! The self contained garden has seating, decking, bbq and space to look out over the fields and see hare's, owls and pheasants. The owner is great, taking time to ensure that you are comfortable and help with information about the area or any specific needs. The 'welcome pack' is super with fresh eggs & homemade jam - delicious! If there was an option for 10 stars Windy Roost Lodge would have it. Will be coming back soon.

We were looking for totally remote and that’s what we got surrounded by fields no traffic noise just wildlife noises. Lovely essential welcoming pack so you could at least have a cuppa and toast before unpacking. The home made blackberry jam was gorgeous courtesy of our host. If I was to be really fussy and think negatives it would just be unfortunately hot water for bath for my arthritis was Luke warm but shower was gorgeous. Our sprocker loved the enclosed garden and public footpaths for long walks 😂 I would mention that the patio door was very stiff I couldn’t manage it but hubby could just needs lubrication I guess. Overall the weekend was lovely - thanks for having us. Nearly forgot our host even supplied poo bags and cover so dog didn’t dirty sofa 👍🙈
