Guests say

Stonegarth is a well-regarded cottage in a peaceful village, ideal for a relaxing holiday. Guests appreciate the clean environment, comfortable beds, and the pleasant garden. The local pub adds to the charm, despite not serving food. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but the overall experience remains positive.

The cottage is generally described as clean and tidy, with only one mention of a fusty smell in the kitchen units affecting the crockery.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and as a good base to explore from, with a welcoming local pub nearby.

Beds are noted as super comfortable, but there are several mentions of an uncomfortable sofa, suggesting a need for replacement.

While the property is equipped with modern comforts, there are concerns about the spotty Wi-Fi, stiff shower controls, and suggestions for a washing machine. The lack of a log burner and cold bathroom floor tiles were also mentioned.

Guests were pleasantly surprised by welcome gifts, indicating thoughtfulness, although it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

We've just spent a week here and overall i would say it's a lovely little place.Overall it was clean and tidy and fairly well equiped , the village is peaceful and a good base to explore from , outside space was pleasant to sit on while the weather was good.Annabel was lovely and friendly, the welcome gifts were a nice surprise. We did however have a few niggles with the place - the slimline kitchen units which house the crockery etc unfortunately smells quite fusty and damp and this smell does transfer to the plates, cups and glasses.A good proportion of the crockery was quite chipped and or cracked and could do with replacing. The sofa is we personally found uncomfortable and is definitely in need of replacing. The wifi is quite spotty as it's been shared from the owners wifi next door and it did drop out quite often , we did bring this to the owners attention on one night and they reset the router the next morning which seemed to do the trick -for a couple of hours , and when it went again the following day and day after we just left it and used our mobile hotspots, maybe the cottage would benefit from it's own wifi rather than a shared wifi ?The hot and cold tap on the shower is quite stiff and when trying to control the temperature you'ld be forgiven in thinking that if you twisted the knob a bit harder it would break , but persevere and it will work .Personally i believe a washing machine would be a good addition , maybe replace the dishwasher with one ? Would we come back to Stonegarth in the future ? ..i would say yes especially if the issues raised were addressed.

Excellent accommodation, nicely presented with modern comforts. Parking was easy and there was a nice sitting out area in the garden. Location close to Lincoln was good for us. The village had a rather welcoming pub, although it did not serve food. We only had a short stay there but would certainly use again.
