A lovely quirky converted railway weighbridge. Small, compact but with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable short break. The finish of the property is very good and whilst it doesn’t have a full ‘kitchen’ Amy & Jon provide enough gadgets to make meals. The bed is firm but comfortable. The bathroom pleasantly designed and perfectly functional. Don’t expect a bath though! There are touches throughout of the buildings railway heritage and some detailed information in the guest book. The property has access onto the former railway line which is now a mixed use path, allowing mostly road free walking all the way to Lincoln. The path was full of wildlife on our early morning dog walks. The Weighbridge is close to a main road but it was not overly busy or noisy during our stay and we had very peaceful sleep. We didn’t need to light the log burner as it was a very warm weekend, but it would be very cosy if you did. Amenities in the immediate area are few but there are nice pubs and cafes in neighbouring villages and supermarkets about 5 miles away. Would we stay again? Yes.

We enjoyed our time at the weighbridge which we found to be spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable accommodation and a great location for walking our dog as the old railway line runs past the back of the cottage with easy access. Amy the owner was extremely helpful and friendly and she told us about the local attractions, amenities and walks. The accommodation may appear to be small from the pictures but is roomy enough for two people and a dog. A lot of thought has been put in to the layout and needs of those staying at the weighbridge to make sure that you have everything you need especially a very comfortable bed, quality towels, excellent kitchen utensils and other nice touches. I would have no doubts about recommending the weighbridge and hope to return later on this year.

The Weighbridge was perfect! It had everything we needed for our getaway, the secure garden was ideal for our dog and the peaceful setting was an unexpected very pleasant surprise. The accommodation was perfect for two, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with all mod cons, we stayed for two nights in the recent heatwave, the fan was appreciated! The welcome pack was really informative, both about the accommodation and the local area. We would highly recommend and will definitely be booking in again in the future.
