Guests consistently highlight the comfort of the beds, the luxurious bathroom, and the secure garden, making it ideal for both families and dog owners. The cottage is noted for its cleanliness, attention to detail, and thoughtful touches. Multiple reviews describe the cottage as very clean and well maintained, with no complaints about cleanliness. The high standard of presentation is consistently noted.
The peaceful, rural location is frequently praised, with guests enjoying the quiet village atmosphere and proximity to the Lake District. Some mention the remoteness and lack of mobile signal, but these are generally seen as minor or even positive aspects.
Guests repeatedly mention the comfort of the beds and the cosy atmosphere. The only recurring minor issue is that a few found the sofa and armchair less comfortable, but this did not significantly detract from their stay.
The cottage is described as exceptionally well equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom. Guests appreciate the range of utensils, appliances, and thoughtful extras such as dog washing facilities and a secure garden.
Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome notes, biscuits, fresh milk, dog towels, and Christmas decorations. While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a fantastic week at Earsdon Cottage. The cottage itself is in a very pretty, rural location. It is well maintained, comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom, lovely well equipped kitchen and just really cosy. We were also able to buy fresh milk and eggs from the farm next door. There were plenty of walks on our doorstep and in the surrounding area. In fact a week wasn’t long enough. We would most definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful cottage to stay in. The pictures do not do it justice. Beds extremely comfy, kitchen to die for (the oven and hob are amazing)The garden is completely secure for the dogs, and the little back lane is great to access a short walk for evenings with them Location is perfect for exploring the lakes, and out of the tourist areas so lovely and quiet in the evening It’s a real home from home, the owners are lovely as are the neighbours, very welcoming and chatty asking about our holiday. Great value for money, having stayed in lots of places this one is definitely the best I have stayed in, in the lakes. Will be booking again very soon Thanks for a wonderful stay If you like whisky visit the distillery which is about 15 mins away by car

Beautiful cottage, has everything you need (more than the listing says so I brought too much stuff - there are towels, a hairdryer, firelighters/matches, dishwasher tablets, dog towels etc there already). Location is great for acces to Keswick and the northern fells. Complimentary litre of milk from the farm next door so don't do what I did and bring too much milk No data service around there so download the what3words location before you get there (unlike me).
