Standing on the beautiful northern shores of Derwentwater, Keswick has a wealth of popular attractions, including the Puzzling Place, the Derwent Pencil Museum and the Theatre by the Lake. Exploring the surrounding area, you can visit the Castlerigg Stone Circle, Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum, and Mirehouse and Gardens, all within 5 miles. To the north, the Lakes Distillery and the Lake District Wildlife Centre sit at the northern edge of the stunning Bassenthwaite Lake (8.5 miles).
Stepping inside this cute and inviting cottage, you will be greeted by the welcoming, light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The delightful lounge area has plenty of comfortable seating alongside a Smart TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire set in a snug nook. To one side, there’s a handy breakfast bar, perfect for sharing meals which you’ve prepared in the elegantly organised and fully equipped kitchen. Stairs lead up from the ground-floor living area and into the sweet and cheerful first-floor bedroom. This snug and relaxing space has a lovely double bed and its own Smart TV. The accommodation is rounded off with a stylishly tiled bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.
Although the cottage has no garden, there’s a peaceful bench at the front of the property, making a relaxing spot for a morning coffee. There’s space for unloading outside the cottage, with parking in one of the local public car parks; a parking permit is electronically recorded and available for the long-stay car parks of Otley Road, Central and Lakeside – please provide car registration when booking.
