This semi detached bungalow is sure to be popular with couples and those with young families, it has a garden, private parking and is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre yet is located in a quiet residential area. The property is furnished and equipped to a very good standard, with the addition of a conservatory with dining table and chairs to the rear. There is a magnificent view to Skiddaw from the front garden and a view to Blencathra from the rear garden.

Having stayed many times within the area, our week at Blencathra Bank was a good week, albeit an extremely wet one, and the accommodation kept us warm and dry. The conservatory was really useful and airy and the bungalow was well equipped with board games, helpful information of walks and the local area and many videos and a good efficient TV.Facilities were good overall but some thought might be helpful in considering a change to a firmer ( or at least a more supportive ) mattress on the main bed. Also while bedding and towels were lovely and fresh, and the rooms tidy, again some thought and extra time could be given to a more thorough clean and freshening in both the bathroom and kitchen, ie. bath surrounds, skirting boards, radiators, floors. I dont think this is expecting too much in a property and should be a given normal, as it has been n the majority of the properties we've previously stayed. Parking was off road, down a fairly sloped drive. But even though there were these few issues we have still enjoyed our week's break, walking into Keswick and the surrounding area ( always something to do and enjoy in a great little town) whenever the weather allowed. Unfortunately we didnt have the best of weather this week but neither did most of the UK !
