The central location in Keswick, close to parks and local amenities, is highly appreciated by guests, though some note challenges with driveway access due to street parking.
The property is described as comfortable and spacious, with quality furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. A few guests had personal preferences regarding bed comfort, but the majority found the accommodation very comfortable.

Bowderstone is a much-loved family home beautifully finished to offer quality accommodation, with fabulous views to the mountains and a secluded patio all just a few minutes' walk from this lovely market town.
The front door opens to a spacious hallway opening onto the bright and airy, dual aspect, lounge and dining room, with a large comfortable sofa and armchairs ideal for relaxing with family and friends or enjoying a film on the large screen TV. The large family dining table is perfect for good food and great company. The focal point of the contemporary fitted kitchen is a large island unit, complete with bar stools, making it the ideal place for breakfast or to keep a busy chef company. With excellent five ring gas hob, electric double oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. There’s a rear hallway with ample coat hanging and space for boots and outdoor gear and a utility area including washing machine. The back door opens from here to the rear patio. Returning to the front hallway, there are 2 bedrooms; the first, at the front of the cottage, is king sized and the second, to the rear of the cottage, a double. There is a smart family bathroom with bath with a shower over, basin and WC serving these 2 bedrooms. Stairs lead to the spacious first floor landing complete with ‘chill out zone’, a further TV and writing desk along with plenty of extra storage space. 2 further bedrooms, a large king size to the front and a smaller twin room to the rear both of which are served by a modern shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Enjoy an evening in the secluded and enclosed patio area with planted borders and bistro garden furniture. There’s also a secure shed for the storage of mountain bikes and outdoor gear.
Keswick is a friendly market town who’s twice weekly market recently won the coveted ‘Best Outdoor Market’ award. There’s also a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and outdoor clothing. There’s also a delicious range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars, and a quirky 100-year-old Alhambra Cinema, offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings, or enjoy some live theatre or music at the Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater. Beautiful Derwentwater offers serene lake cruises, rowboat hire and paddle board activities. Nearby you are spoilt for choice with walks up Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horseshoe and Blencathra or Latrigg for a lovely easy walk with a view. Ashness Bridge and Surprise View a short drive away above the Borrowdale Valley should not be missed; nor should the unspoilt village of Watendlath.
