This pretty apartment has plenty of space for four friends or a family who want to stay in the heart of stunning countryside with lots of walks and outdoor activities on their doorstep. It’s in a pretty village close to Keswick and Derwentwater with gorgeous views, a great garden, and stylish interiors.
The flat is fresh and contemporary throughout with an immaculate finish and lots of attention to detail. The gorgeous traditional features, such as the wooden beams, cupboards and flooring, and large Range oven for cooking hearty meals after an exciting day out, give it bags of charm. There’s a Smart TV in the kitchen and one in the lounge, with a big comfy sofa and a cosy wood burner too. There are two gorgeous bedrooms, a twin and a double, and a shower room/wet room. Patio doors in the kitchen/dining room lead outside to a large, private patio. You also have use of the shared garden, where you can sit and admire the views.
There’s a farm shop and a pub in Rosthwaite. For more shops Keswick is 6.5 miles away, where you’ll also find a cinema, the Theatre by the Lake, and lots of great places to eat out. The village is in Borrowdale Valley surrounded by fells, and you can head out on walks from the house. There’s a lovely circular walk that crosses the steppingstones in the village then goes up to Millican Dalton’s Cave (1 mile away) where the “Professor of Adventure” spent his summers for 50 years. One of the most popular and scenic local routes is the walk to the top of Castle Crag (3 miles away) passing through old slate mining works. You can also arrange to go paddleboarding, rowing, sailing, canoeing, or kayaking on the lakes for more outdoor adventures.
