A deceptively spacious cottage, Hastings has views of Latrigg from the lounge and front double bedroom. It benefits from private parking to the rear of the cottage and has outside seating in its enclosed rear courtyard. With a downstairs shower room with a large walk-in shower while upstairs there is a luxury free standing bath.
Situated in a quiet residential area, the cottage is just ten minutes’ walk from the shores of beautiful Dewentwater, with its lake cruises, rowing boats, Theatre by the Lake and the famous viewpoint of Friars Cragg. It’s also just five minutes’ level walk to Keswick town centre and its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions, including the world famous Pencil Museum, Keswick Art Gallery and Museum and the original Alhambra Cinema. Hastings is perfectly situated with a choice of fell top hiking and low level walks available straight from the front door, and is the perfect cottage for a quiet scenic break or for enjoying the wide range of outdoor activities Keswick has to offer.

This would have been straight fives across the board if the sofas had of been a bit more comfortable, it isn't a deal breaker and probably nit picking as I would definitely book this place again

This is our second stay at Hastings cottage, it's ideally located in Keswick - a quiet area but only a few minutes walk to the town centre. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very well appointed with little touches that make the stay even more comfortable. It's perfect for our needs! We particularly appreciate the wooden flooring throughout, which is ideal as we always visit during autumn/winter. It's easy to clean up after muddy boots and paw prints! The parking space is appreciated, although it can be a little tight to access, but we have an estate car and can get in the space. However, given the time of year we visit, there's usually plenty of on-road parking outside the cottage as well. There is a small courtyard, which is handy for our dog. But despite being a large dog, she doesn't need a lot of garden space as she gets long walks every day - especially up on the fells! We love the cosy, homely feeling of Hastings and it genuinely feels like home. We love it so much that we've already booked our third visit!

There were a few issues with BT TV as were were unable to watch BBC iPlayer or ITV X streaming. The documentation was out of date, so we weren't able to find out what to do. The HELP facility in BT TV failed as well.It didn't spoil our holiday, but others might be unhappy.
