Step inside this characterful cottage and you’ll feel immediately at home. Head through to the stylish kitchen and rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. You can then eat all together at the dining table in the lounge, or head outside to the garden and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and make the most of the views from the garden, or make your way to the lounge and slip onto a sofa to catch up on your favourite TV shows as you warm your feet by the gas fire. When it’s time for bed, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from.

Head into the market town of Keswick (3.5 miles) to browse the local shops or take a cruise on Derwentwater. If you’re there on a Thursday or Sunday, make sure you swing by Market Square to pick up some local delicacies at the fabulous market. Or for a day out with a difference, head to Alpacaly Ever After (1 mile) and take an alpaca for a walk or a lama for a trek.
