Guests say

Lavender Cottage is highly praised for its excellent location in Keswick, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate its proximity to the town centre and local attractions, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. The cottage is described as homely, warm, and generally clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas. While there are some minor concerns about maintenance and a pet odour, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests willing to recommend the property and expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found Lavender Cottage to be clean and well-kept, with particular mention of a spotless kitchen and fluffy towels. However, one review noted a pet odour and suggested the carpets could benefit from a deep clean, slightly lowering the score.

The location is consistently lauded for being close to the centre of Keswick and within walking distance to local attractions, yet quiet enough for a peaceful stay. Its proximity to walking trails and the ease of parking are also highlighted.

Guests generally regard the cottage as comfortable, with a cosy living area and comfy beds. The provision of multiple TVs and a warm atmosphere contribute to the comfort. However, some guests mentioned steep stairs and basic bedding, which slightly affects the score.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, with a kitchen that meets guests' needs and thoughtful touches like hairdryers. However, suggestions for a tumble dryer and additional utensils, along with a report of a television issue, indicate room for improvement.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful provisions, such as kitchen essentials and a welcome gift. It's important to note that while these gestures are well-received, they are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We had a comfortable stay at Lavender Cottage. We appreciated the thoughtful touches including provision of some kitchen essentials. Comfortable living area and beds. A real home from home. Stairs were a little bit of a struggle but it is an older property. We had awfully wet weather so a tumble dryer or a heated airer might be useful. Would overall recommend.
