Philip’s Cottage provides a comfortable and spacious stay in a quiet location; situated just 1 mile from the shores of Derwent Water, you are never too far away from your nearest lake. Walkers and mountain bikers can reach the routes to Latrigg and Skiddaw in just 500 yards. Keswick Museum and Art Gallery, and Keswick Leisure gym is a short walk away. Fitz Park on the doorstep offers space for dogs to run around and in the summer grass tennis courts, bowling and putting are available. Take a stroll along the banks of the River Greta, to arrive at the abundance of restaurants and shops that Keswick has to offer. Lovely cottage in an ideal location. Walks directly from the door which we enjoyed with our two vizslas! Nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk into Keswick. The only reason I didn’t give maximum stars is the kitchen utensils pans ect are a little dated. All in all an enjoyable experience and would recommend.

The cottage was really nice and spacious with a lovely garden right next to the park and river, there was plenty information and games and books to entertain the kids in the evenings. Well equipped kitchen, however the downside was the uncomfortable sofas which are very fragile on the armrests and too wide to sit comfortably, the bedrooms are basic but the beds are very comfortable and the bed linen was really nice. The bathroom lets the property down very bodged up with silicone toilet cistern makes a noise when you flush and taps and shower need replacing but we still had a lovely time and didn’t spoil the weekend fabulous location short walk through park into Keswick
