Nestled off the main road you will find Annie’s Cottage.This well-presented, comfortable terraced cottage is well positioned to enjoy the Haverigg coastline and you can enjoy some stunning walks including Black Coombe. On the ground floor of the cottage there is a comfortable living room, a well-fitted modern kitchen/dining room and a shower room. On the first floor there is a kingsize bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds. The village has a well regarded local public house that serves good quality local food. The property is located only 4 miles from the historic town of Broughton-in-Furness. Beach 4¼ miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

We just wanted to get away and have a break. Annie's Cottage not only fitted the bill but is located in a surpringly good position to cover a large part of the Southern Lake District, a big chunk of quiet coastline and quite a lot of interesting places to visit.The cottage is very well equipped - especially if you want to cook for yourself. The property is well-maintained, the beds comfy and really, we were pretty well provided for.It's also easy to get to from the South Lakes/Kendal junction on good roads.Any downsides? Not really. You can't park immediately outside the cottage but there is plenty of parking within 50m - and come on guys, this is walking country, I know you can do that!There's a pub on the green which serves food.There's a useful Tesco a few miles down the road in Millom and there are lots of take-aways too.So, if you've read this far, one important question remains...would we come back again?YES!
