There is stabling available by separate negotiation by contacting the owner if you would like to bring your horses, ponies and it is also dog friendly. The popular village of Gosforth has a local Italian restaurant, public houses which all serve good food with local produce. There are two public footpaths at Windhall Retreat which are a five-minute walk into the village of Gosforth.

We absolutely loved our stay at Windhall Cabin. We had a lovely warm welcome and had bacon, eggs and milk to get us started. The view is asbolutely spectacular and we whiled away hours just sitting and watching the world go by from the porch. The cabin itself is cosy, well equipped and the hot tub is a lovely touch. Our dog was happy too! There are plenty of walks, pubs and places to go and visit. We both agreed that this was the most relaxing holiday we’d been on. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to come back again in the future.
