This semi-detached cottage is a fantastic romantic retreat set within beautiful countryside. There is an open plan living area with wooden flooring and an electric stove which is a lovely, cosy area to curl up at the end of the day. Upstairs, the comfortable and pretty bedroom has a high apex ceiling and has an en-suite bathroom. This room looks out over the fields and has a small table and chairs to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning. A charming cottage, ideal for a holiday at any time of year. The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District. The Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England, remains the heart of the community with its gatehouse forming the entrance to the village. The village features pretty streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, a charming gift shop, welcoming, traditional pubs serving real ale, the nationally acclaimed, Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant, and the Cartmel Village shop, which sells the famous sticky toffee pudding.

Gorgeous location. Karen & Martyn are very welcoming and accommodating hosts, living in the adjacent property. After booking, the info from Sykes stated no visitors or guests allowed. This was not stated on the website. The hosts assured us we could have our family visit for an Easter meal
