All ground floor, this Torver cottage has a bedroom with a four poster king-size bed, a luxury bathroom with a bath and a walk-in rain shower and a spacious open plan living area with a woodburning stove. Torver sits amidst some of the Lake District's most beautiful scenery. It's known locally as a starting point for exploring the local fells and the Duddon Valley and offers a superb base for exploring nearby Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere.

The cottage is finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean . The hot tub was a wonderful bonus . The sofa not very comfortable is the only negative we had. Host helpful and friendly. Dogs loved our stay too. Highly recommended and hope to return

Set in beautifully quiet surroundings but in a location that allows easy access to all the Lake District has to offer. We loved walking down to the lane in the evenings to the Waterloo Arms in Torver, and seeing the variety of wildlife on our doorstep. The little Partridges provided great entertainment. Yew Tree Cottage itself was clean, very comfortable, and very well equipped, a lovely home from home, and a surprisingly good base for lovely walks to Coniston Water, and the Old Man of Coniston from.
