Hillside is a well-loved cottage praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and beautiful garden. Nestled in Broughton-in-Furness, it offers a cosy stay with local amenities and scenic walks nearby. While some guests missed Wi-Fi and noted maintenance issues, the charm of the property and its location generally outweighed these concerns.
Guests consistently noted the property as 'spotlessly clean' with 'crisp, white bedding'. Cleanliness is evidently a strong point for Hillside, with only minor suggestions for additional items like a bath mat and bin bags.
The location is highly praised for being in the heart of a village with good pubs and shops, and within a short drive to other destinations in the Lake District. The only drawback mentioned is the limited phone reception.
The cottage is described as 'comfortable and warm' with 'comfy beds'. However, some guests mentioned that the mattresses could be improved, and the lack of Wi-Fi contributed to a slight discomfort for those needing to stay connected.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and open fires. However, the games room received negative feedback for its condition and location, and the lack of Wi-Fi was a recurring issue for some guests.
