The Ticket Office in Coniston is a well-loved, cosy cottage praised for its stunning location, comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the helpful communication with the owner, the property's proximity to local attractions, and the welcoming atmosphere for dogs. The nearby pub is a hit for its food and dog-friendly policy. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the cottage to be comfortable and well-kept. However, one review mentioned a concern with bathroom cleanliness, specifically mold on the bath silicone, which could be an issue for those with allergies. This seems to be an isolated incident, as no other reviews raised cleanliness concerns.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, beauty, and convenience for walking and exploring the southern Lake District. The proximity to Coniston, footpaths directly behind the property, and a nearby pub add to the appeal. The location is deemed perfect by several guests.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, with mentions of Wi-Fi and a folder with appliance information. Some guests suggested improvements, such as better kitchen equipment and more consumables. A tight entry gate and some general maintenance needs were noted, but these did not significantly detract from the overall experience.
