As soon as you step through the front door of this cosy cottage, you instantly see some of the character as you are greeted by a wood burner and comfy sofas, inviting you to fall into their comfy embrace in front of a roaring fire. As you move through the property, you step into a modern kitchen/dining room which has all the amenities you need to prepare anything from a simple sandwich to a Sunday roast. There is a door leading off the kitchen to a modern bathroom with a deep bath and shower above. Returning to the living room, a second door leads upstairs to two bedrooms, a twin and a double bedroom.
One of the main attractions of this beautiful cottage is its location, the cottage is surrounded by hills and stunning scenery and has some stunning walks right from the doorstep. The local area boasts hills, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and even caves to explore so the walkers and cyclists in the group will be spoilt for choice. The area also has easy access to some of the Lakes most popular attractions, with Hawkshead, Coniston, Ambleside and Windermere all being easily accessible, so if you feet are tired or you prefer less energetic past times then, you can shop to you drop in the vast array of independent, gift shops, clothing and other shops in the local towns, or maybe you prefer to enjoy a wide range of tasty cuisine.
There is also a variety of museums and attractions available, or maybe learn more about Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter who called this area home and helped to inspire their writings and then finish of a day’s adventures with a drink in a traditional pub sampling one of the local brews. There is something for everyone and every age to enjoy and this lovely cottage is the perfect base from which to create lifelong memories. Pub 1¾ miles.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the lounge is fantastic. Chapel Stile is a lovely village with many walks from your doorstep. We only used the car once all week. I would recommend and hope to be back.

My son and myself spent 14 days at 2 Lingmore View and enjoyed every minute. We had been to Langdale on numerous occasions before my wife passed and this was more like visiting an old friend and reviving memories of previous visits.We found the cottage to be cosy for the two of us and we could find nothing to complain about. Even after a storm had knocked out our broadband, we loved the quiet without outside contact. However it took less that 24 hrs to be sorted after I contacted Charlie.We packed up and left on Saturday and set off back to E Devon and on emptying the car at home my son asked if I'd checked all the kitchen cupboards. Why I asked? 'If you didn't we left 4 bottles of Abbot Reserve and a bag of Taco's there' I hope that the next family enjoy our generous gift to there holiday 😁 I also hope that they have as good a time in 2 Lingmore View as we did.
