Quarry's Edge is a spacious and well-equipped cottage in a fantastic location for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to local walks, a pub, and amenities. We stayed for a week in summer holidays. Great location with lots of walks from the doorstep! We visited lots of places all within around a 20 minute drive. There is a frequent bus route too if you want to leave the car! On arrival at the house there were lots of cobwebs and we did feel it could have been cleaned a little better. The furniture in the bedrooms is quite dated although the main living area and the bathrooms are fine! The downstairs bedroom wardrobe was unusable and it felt a little damp, we were greeted by a toad in the bathroom one morning! We mostly used the front door as parked at the front of the property but couldn’t lock the porch door as no key provided. Could do with a doormat in the porch to save the cream carpet! Would definitely stay again for the location if bedrooms are updated.

No real complaints but wouldn't recommend. Location is beautiful but overall home needs modernisation. Middle floor is fine. Clean and well equipped. White carpets are hard to keep clean and no door mats for wet feet and paws. No drying rack. No tumble dryer. Poor choice for a Lake District property. Dishwasher is too small. Bathroom - toilet seat is loose. Shower door is broken. Downstairs is very damp smelling. All bedroom furniture is old, impracticable and an eyesore. Sheets - need to be all white linen.

Three large bedrooms, and plenty of living space. The location is fantastic, with a nice pub locally for food. The local Co op was great, well stocked with everything you need . The car didn’t move for 4 days
