Woodbine Cottage in Ambleside is praised for its excellent location, comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities, the well-equipped space, and the comfortable furnishings. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning return visits.
Most guests found Woodbine Cottage clean and well-kept, with several positive remarks about its tidiness. However, a few guests mentioned cleanliness issues in specific areas, such as bathrooms and drawers, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage's location is highly praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to pubs, shops, and local attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Lake District.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds and homely feel of the cottage. The presence of an en-suite and well-appointed rooms adds to the comfort level, although some minor issues prevent a perfect score.
The cottage is appreciated for its facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a parking permit. However, several reviews cite maintenance issues such as broken furniture and appliances, which impacts the score.
Guests are pleased with the thoughtful extras provided, such as welcome packs and chocolates. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
