The Old Coach House is a special little spot in the heart of the Lake District. It was my first time visiting the region and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Its stunning location on the woody slopes of Rydal Fell allows acces to incredible sights and trails straight out of the door, whilst only being a short 10 minute walk into Grasmere village. The grounds felt private and were a cosy retreat at the end of long days exploring. The apartment was clean and evidently well looked after. We were also surprised on how well provisioned it was, from picnic gear to a first aid kit, to a wide selection of maps and books on local walks and history. All was well organised and stored away neatly for use. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish and will definitely be returning!
