1 Field Foot Cottage in Ambleside is a well-equipped, cosy property with period decor, offering stunning views and a central location ideal for local amenities and walks. Guests appreciate the cottage's charm, comfortable beds, and the inclusion of a garage, though some find the parking tight for larger vehicles. The property is dog-friendly and generally meets the needs of visitors, despite some concerns over heating and cleanliness.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it not as clean as expected, while others did not raise any concerns. The presence of cigarette smell in the laundry was noted, affecting the overall impression.
The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and convenient, with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. The proximity to amenities and the village's charm contribute to a positive experience.
Guests find the beds large and comfortable, and the living spaces cosy, especially with the fire lit. However, some guests mentioned the property being cold upon arrival and the steep staircase to the attic as minor discomforts.
The cottage is well-stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils, and guests appreciate the smart TV with Netflix. However, the lack of a dryer, the need for a deep clean of the oven, and the absence of an information booklet slightly detract from the overall facilities rating.

The ground floor is complete with a lovely lounge, which boasts an original open fireplace for those cosy nights in, and plenty of seating for you and your loved ones to socialise and relax in comfort. The kitchen/diner has been refurbished to a lovely standard with stylish units and counter tops, as well as a pleasant dining table with seating for up to six people.
