Amber Nook is situated in a lovely quiet village, the Lodge was more and larger than we expected, everything was catered for and even our favourite lake, Ullswater, was close by, the larger food shops were close by in Penrith, a 5 minute car ride away which is ideal for self catering, we had a lovely time, although the weather made a drastic change from the previous weeks sun! Unfortunately we can't do anything about that 😀, all in all a good time was had and we would definitely stay again (maybe the en suite could do with a little spruce up), many thanks to Sue and Malcolm x PS the dogs and grandson loved their holiday too 😀

Lovely lodge! Everything you need and more, we stayed a week and didn’t want to come home! It’s very quiet and the area is ideal for travelling around the lakes. The owners were great, very helpful. We will be booking again in the future.

Was surprised by what was provided, at other accommodation you have to bring everything even salt, pepper and washing liquid which is what we did. But everything was thought of. Even dog welcome bags and prosecco for us. It’s quiet, with easy access to many lakes and walks nearby. Beds were super comfy too. Would book again.
