Gill Head Farm is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its spacious and comfortable bedrooms, beautiful location, and welcoming owners. The property is noted for its character and suitability for large groups, with multiple living areas and en-suite bathrooms. While the kitchen size and layout received mixed reviews, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean and well-maintained. The presence of cleanliness across multiple reviews suggests a high standard upheld by the owners.
The location is frequently highlighted for its stunning scenery and proximity to local attractions. The farm setting adds to the charm, although connectivity issues are noted.
The comfort of the property is well-regarded, with guests finding the bedrooms spacious and the living areas cosy. The presence of log burners and the overall homeliness contribute to a comfortable stay.
Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the en-suite bathrooms and on-site shop. However, some guests mention the kitchen size and layout as limiting, and there are occasional comments on maintenance issues like lighting and heating.
While some guests mention a lack of welcome pack, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the hosts in terms of gifts or extra touches. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

The kitchen is a bit small, but the different living spaces were lovely and gave our mixed generation group plenty of options for relaxing, playing games, and watching TV. The adjoining campsite was much larger than we expected, but is beautifully managed and well screened so not intrusive, an excellent example of working farm diversification The little shop in reception was useful for basics, and the resident peacocks are a delight.

All my family agreed this was the best property yet after ten years. Everything was as described in the booking information. Amanda could not have been more helpful. She even managed to change my grandsons quilts as they are allergic to duck down. I would recommend the property to anyone who is thinking of visiting the area. Best wishes Paul. W.

L.c. large gaps under from porch door, no welcome pack, not even a bottle of milk. all bedrooms very cold through issues with bathroom heating. Would love to go back if issues where rectified.
