We were very disappointed with the Cottage as it did not have any Wi-Fi so we had to use our own mobile data and as for the television it kept going wrong so we couldn’t watch telly too much because the screen kept going off or losing signal

Good location for touring and good accommodation to go to with pets - tiled / wooden floors were really beneficial when it had rained. Really quiet and restful. Nearby pub very welcoming to humans and canines. Almost everything you could need was in the annexe. Toaster needs a check as lever had to be kept pressed down to heat up the elements and only half of the elements worked. We took an air fryer with us and the accommodation may benefit from the addition of one, but the microwave was capable of more than just heating up, and the air fryer was a personal choice. There are no shops nearby, so you need to travel to nearby Ulverston for any provisions or organise a home delivery. We did see Tesco and Sainsbury’s delivery vans passing by so it’s convenient to do this. But if you have forgotten something you can’t just ‘pop out’ to get it.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Lovely little ground floor annexe with incredible view of surrounding area. Is a place to get away from wifi led days. Great pub just 300 yards away, that did lovely food and great real ales. Great base for investigating the local area such as coniston, and the stream railway . Nice little garden to sit out in and enclosed for our dog. Basic kitchen but was adequate for our needs as didnt go away on a break to cook. Didnt even switch on the television as was great to look out at the view, listen to music and talk xc
