This cottage’s open plan living space and modern styling give it a contemporary feel and is the perfect area to socialise after a day’s adventures. The living area offers comfy sofas to enjoy with your favourite tipple. The kitchen/dining area is a great social space, and you have all the amenities you need to prepare anything from a picnic to a Sunday roast. There are three bedrooms, one bunk room which kids will love, and two double rooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a family shower room with a shower cubicle. Adjacent to the property is a shared games run/utility area which offers a pool table, table tennis and darts as well as a washing machine and dryer. Outside, Yan has its own flagged veranda with outdoor seating. Stone outbuildings are provided for guests’ use and are ideal for storing bikes/mountain gear or kennels for pets. The cottage also has a private parking space and for electric car users there is a shared charging point.
The lovely market town of Ulverston is within a 10-minute drive, its cobbled streets are lined with a great selection independent shops, pubs cafes and restaurants. The hometown of the Stan Laurel, half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. The town celebrates his birth with The Laurel and Hardy Museum. ’Another fine fest’ is one of the many festivals and events available in the town throughout the year. The beautiful South Lakes area offers a wide selection of breath-taking walks and cycle routes through hills and around lakes, or for the less energetic amongst you there is something for everyone from Michelin starred restaurants, to steam trains, lake cruises, wildlife parks, stately homes, horse racing or even escape rooms. You are spoilt for choice and there’s something for everyone.

Spent 10 days at Xmas at Coal Yeat with my children, it was magical. We were surrounded by nature, with the most spectacular views. Everything we needed was provided, the games room kept my kids occupied and of there phones/ computers. Will be booking to go again.

Wow, we had a fantastic break at Coal Yeat, what a beautiful remote location. Even had to stop the car to allow a deer to cross in front of us one night at the bottom of the lane up to the house.There are some great walks right from the cottage and whilst remote it’s only 10mins tin the car to Ulverston where there is all the amenities you could need. Equally we traveled to Coniston Grasmere and Windermere, all within easy reach.The property itself was lovely, and the nice touches with the welcome pack and thank you note were greatly appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic break, nice and quiet location but within easy reach of many places by car. Also within walking distance of a few pubs. Would highly recommend the Royal Oak at Spark Bridge for excellent food and the best Sunday Lunch. The staff are very warm and welcoming.The holiday cottage is well equipped with everything you need.Will definitely go back!!
