Guests generally praise the lodge for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and well-equipped nature. The hot tub is a popular feature, and the property's location in Windermere is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions. Service is responsive, with issues addressed promptly. Some guests mention thoughtful touches like welcome gifts, though these are not guaranteed.
The majority of reviews commend the lodge for its spotless condition and fresh smell. There are a few mentions of areas needing attention, but these are exceptions in the overall positive feedback on cleanliness.
The lodge's location is frequently highlighted as ideal, close to local amenities and attractions. However, a few guests noted noise from a nearby road and the inconvenience of navigating the park at night due to limited signage and lighting.
Comfort is well-regarded with special mentions of the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere. Some guests, however, found the mattresses uncomfortable or the lodge's furniture not as luxurious as expected.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are comments about the lack of certain amenities like a dishwasher and issues with Wi-Fi and TV functionality.
While some guests have expressed appreciation for welcome gifts and considerate touches, these are not consistently mentioned across the reviews, and as such, it cannot be guaranteed that such thoughtfulness is a standard practice for all stays.

Extremely well cared for by the owners who clearly care about their guests. Well equipped, clean and cosy warm with lovely furnishings. The hot tub is incredible and well maintained (the coloured lights around are a bonus!) Great location on the park too, tucked away in a quiet corner but not too far from the site hub. Great to be able to bring your dog to such a nice lodge! Will be back and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a fab Christmas holiday!

The lodge next door was being built, builders working less than 1 meter from the hot tub, which my wife and daughter felt uncomfortable to use. The site staff were extremely unhelpful and not interested in helping us when they found we booked through Sykes. We booked for a quiet and relaxing holiday in the beautiful Lakes and ended up with a building site; if we had known we would have moved to another location. The owner was very quick to respond to my questions (thanks) and comments but they informed me that they had not been told and apologised. There seemed little point in complaining further during our holiday and put up with the building work from 9am to (on one day) 6.30pm. Disappointing response from the site and very poor communications in advance or prior warning.
