What a brilliant find, Running Hare is a very well appointed cottage with everything you need in a home from home. Comfortable beds with great local amenities, handily placed for walking into both Windermere and Bowness-On-Windermere. There’s even a wood burner, although with the heatwave in June we didn’t need it. A brilliant place to explore the lakes, we used a combination of our car and public transport with Coniston, Ambleside, Keswick, Kendal and Grasmere all easily reached. We particularly enjoyed Wast Water. Danielle was a wonderful host providing excellent directions and information how everything works as well as being easily contactable. We would definitely return for another break and although we went as a couple it would just as good for two couples or a family.
