The Hayloft in Thetford, Norfolk, is praised for its cleanliness, cosy and tasteful decor, and peaceful rural setting. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful owner, the well-equipped modern kitchen, and the private outdoor spaces. Some concerns include steep access steps, limited headroom, and slow Wi-Fi, but these are minor compared to the tranquillity and charm of the property.
Reviews consistently mention the property being clean and well-maintained, with only one mention of dirty dishes, suggesting an isolated incident. Overall, guests are satisfied with the cleanliness.
The property is appreciated for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to local amenities and attractions. Some guests mention narrow access roads and the lack of a local pub or restaurant within walking distance, but the peaceful environment is a highlight.
The property is described as cosy and warm, with a comfortable bed and seating areas. However, several guests mention issues with low headroom and firm mattresses, which affects the comfort score.
Facilities such as a modern kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine are well-received. Criticisms include slow Wi-Fi, small showers, and occasional maintenance issues like power trips, which slightly lower the score.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to score this category.

He is so friendly and helpful! The accomodation was clean and cosy with fabulous countryside views from the small balcony at the top of the stairs. Everything you need is provided in the accomodation. We are looking forward to our next stay as Norfolk is a beautiful county with lovely, friendly people.

However I won't stay again in this particular property as we were just too tall for it. Literally had to limbo through the doors to get into bedroom and bathroom. There was a slight issue with the shower where the pressure was very poor. Ended up taking off the head sprayer and using like a hose as most of the water was leaking out the bottom anyway. The sinks were all in places where the roof came down so made it difficult to wash up. For short to average height people this is a fantastic little cosy place to stay once the shower issue is sorted. I will return but will book one of the other properties.
