Guests say

The Haybarn in Thetford, Norfolk, is a well-received cottage offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable, and well-equipped accommodation, with special mentions of the beautiful gardens and friendly host. While some guests noted issues with noise from upstairs and limited storage, the overall experience is one of a peaceful and enjoyable stay, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviews consistently mention that the cottage is very clean and well-maintained, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are met.

The location is praised for its tranquillity and rural charm. However, some guests found it too remote and had difficulty with the single-lane access roads, slightly affecting the score.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the setting peaceful, contributing to a relaxing stay. Criticisms regarding the size of the double bedroom and storage space slightly lower the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped with a great shower and ample parking. However, comments about poor Wi-Fi, lack of soundproofing, and inadequate wardrobe space suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

We had no one in the apartment upstairs so it was particularly quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Good sized shower cubicle. Private bit of garden. Good location for touring. We went to Norwich, Ely, Wells-next-the-sea,Blickling Hall and each was around 40-60 minutes driving through lovely countryside.

So nice to be able to totally relax in such lovely surroundings. The accommodation was first rate and Tony, the proprietor, was very friendly and always helpful. Just the setting to get away from it all. This was our two dogs first holiday and they loved it.

A great location from which to explore North Norfolk. The cottage was perfect, comfortable, very clean, warm, well equipped and highly recommended. We were made to feel very welcome and will hopefully return.
