The holiday was overall brilliant, the cottage was clean, comfortable-ish (nothing is as comfortable as you have at home) spacious and well equipped (kettle, toaster, oven, hob, microwave, pots pans etc) even a separate laundry room with washer and dryer, and the hot water was definitely hot. The cottage is in a lovely location. being right next to the River Thurne, we could sit in the back garden watching the cows in the field with their calves, (we also saw deer and hares), boats cruising back and forth along the river, and the walk into Potter Heigham along the river Bank was really lovey (about a 1 mile or so walk) There are houses/farmyards within walking distance where you can buy fresh eggs, tomatoes and home grown produce from tables or cabinets and leave the money for them in honesty boxes, but the nearest shop/store is in Potter Heigham. The owner was lovely, courteous and very obliging when we needed to contact him. The only downside was the fact that the kettle, toaster, kitchen utensils and a knife block were on shelves above the microwave, which we thought were dangerous having to reach up for a hot kettle of water etc, so we had to rearrange these things, we did mention this to the owner as we had a bit of a mishap and broke a couple of items that had fallen as we reached up for things, but he was understanding and hopefully he will rearrange everything in all the other cottages if needed.

A spotlessly clean, if basic rental. We were comfortable, but there was very little room to move in the bedrooms. . Plentiful supply of hot water and the shower was a deluge !Much too small for four people, but fine for two. Kitchen was well equipped and a fresh supply of milk was appreciated. A few details that needed attention were sorted out by the helpful staff.
