Curlew Cottage is a pretty flint-faced cottage in a quiet location with the convenience of being near to shops and amenities in Docking, and just a ten minute drive to the stunning beach at Brancaster. The fully enclosed rear garden features a large patio with barbecue so that guests can dine al fresco as they enjoy lovely countryside views.
Spacious, light and bright, the ground floor of Curlew Cottage comprises of a kitchen/dining room that features patio doors that open out onto a garden terrace, and a wonderfully relaxing sitting room with a wood burning stove that adds warmth and ambient light to create the ultimate cosy night in. With stairs that led from the sitting room, safety gates are fitted at both the bottom and top of the stairs making Curlew Cottage an ideal choice for families with pets or young children. Upstairs on the first floor, two charming double bedrooms are presented with each offering built-in wardrobes and plenty of space to unpack. A third bunk room is perfect for children. These rooms are served by a family bathroom featuring bath with shower over.
Outside, the garden is fully enclosed, although some small adventurous dogs may find a way out through the ranch style fencing. A large sun terrace makes an ideal entertaining space with a gas barbecue beckoning for al fresco dining when the sun shines. A pedestrian gate leads to the rear parking area with designated parking for two cars plus ample additional parking.
The village pub The Railway Inn can be reached within a few minutes by foot, as can the local shops which includes a well-stocked Spar shop and a fish 'n' chip shop. The expansive sandy beaches at Brancaster, Holme and Old Hunstanton can each be reached within 10-15 minutes by car, and the ever-popular Georgian village of Burnham Market is reachable via a 15-minute car journey. Docking is very well situated for exploring many inland and coastal points of interest.

A comfortable cottage ideal to use as a base to tour Norfolk This cottage is a perfect base for touring parts of Norfolk like Wells-next-the-sea, Hunstanton, RSPB Snettisham and Sandringham. The house is equipped with the main necessities for a holiday stay. The sitting room is pleasant to relax in after a tiring day sight-seeing. If the TV signal is poor (as was the case during our stay) there are dozens of DVDs available to watch that would suit every taste - I've never seen such a large DVD collection ever! The main bedroom is lovely with a most comfortable king-sized bed. We had our morning coffee in the garden every day. There is ample (and safe) car parking space for 2 cars by the back garden gate. The pictures of the property on the website truly reflect what the house is like. We had a great time during our week's stay and would love to return one day.

A luxurious long weekend in July. Our stay in Curlew Cottage was lovely. It was just the job - well equipped with everything you need, especially for those with young children. The cottage is finished to a high standard and is very comfortable (particularly the master bed). Great spot near Brancaster beach and close to nice pubs and restaurants. We would definitely return!
