Guests say

Sweet Pea Cottage is a charming property praised for its excellent location and homely feel. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and the enclosed garden suitable for dogs. While the cottage's authentic charm is noted, guests suggest that the bathroom requires updating and attention to cleanliness and maintenance could be improved.

Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including unclean cutlery, dirty floors, and a bathroom in need of a deep clean. However, some guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, indicating inconsistency in this area.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to local shops, pubs, and the beach, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The ease of access to amenities and attractions is a consistent positive throughout the reviews.

Guests find the cottage cosy and homely, with a warm atmosphere due to a new boiler. However, some guests mention issues with comfort, such as a very soft bed and uncomfortable pillows, suggesting room for improvement.

The cottage is equipped with necessary facilities, but several reviews highlight the need for maintenance, particularly in the bathroom. The presence of a washing machine is appreciated, but issues with its accessibility and other minor maintenance concerns are noted.

While some guests mention the lack of welcome items such as tea bags and towels, there is not enough information to determine if this is a consistent issue or a one-off occurrence. Therefore, it is politely noted that such welcome gifts are not guaranteed.

A lovely, quaint cottage cottage located near the centre of Heacham, very handy for the local 'take away', which are excellent and the local pub, The Fox and Hounds, which does tasty meals at lunchtime and evenings. I felt there should have more of the basics in the cottage, i.e. there was no washing up liquid and only one tea towel, while the wall covering around the bath/shower could do with being replace with possibly tiles/plastic sheeting, as the base of the existing wooden panelling looked mouldy, also the toilet seat was a bit loose.

We loved our week in Norfolk but cottage was a let down. Clothes on the floor under the bed in small room sheets didn’t look laundered. Unable to access washing machine drawer. Not even a tea bag as a welcome. All this I could tolerate but the bathroom was dirty and not really fit for purpose. Toilet seat broken wood rotting round the tiny bath. Not a proper shower just mixer taps which were impossible to get a fair temperature. A random brick in there too! Such a shame as nice garden for dog properly enclosed and excellent warmth due to new boiler. Sofas and furnishings dated too. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Great location and house, pity about the bathroom which requires a revamp to modern standards.
