The Old Butcher's Shop in King's Lynn is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches such as a generous welcome pack. Set in a quiet, picturesque village, it offers a homely atmosphere and is well-equipped for both human and canine guests. The local pub and idyllic surroundings add to the charm, making it a highly recommended stay for a peaceful retreat.
Reviewers consistently mention the property's spotless condition and fresh-smelling bedding, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes to the overall comfort and appeal of the cottage.
The cottage is situated in a quiet, picturesque village, with a local pub nearby. While some guests noted the lack of shops and poor mobile signal, the location is generally appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to attractions.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with a spacious living room and cosy atmosphere enhanced by a wood burner. The provision of dog-friendly amenities and a welcome package adds to the comfort level, although one guest struggled with adjusting the radiators.
The property is described as well-equipped and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches and a welcome pack. However, one review mentioned only one dog bowl for a property advertised for two dogs, and another had difficulty with the heating, suggesting minor room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Many reviews express gratitude for the welcome pack and other thoughtful provisions, which include local supplies and treats for pets. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such offerings, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

Lovely cottage well equipped. Welcome pack greatly appreciated. Good communication . Very quiet location unfortunately on our visit the pub was closed as changing hands but that didn't spoil our holiday. ( only my husbands birthday meal)Good value for money. Highly recommend. There was only 1 criticism it would be as its advertised for 2 dogs but there was only 1 dog bowl. (As it happens we always carry 2 in our car.)
