Beautifully curated from traditional Norfolk chalk and red brick, 1 Hall Lane Cottage is nestled on a peaceful cul-de-sac in the popular coastal village of Thornham within a short walk of the famous deli, local pub and vibrant farm shop. Exquisitely renovated, this former farmers cottage retains many charming original features and is magnificently furnished in a sumptuous modern country style.
Immensely attractive, the cottage is accessed by a garden path leading to the front door. A light and bright dining room provides seating for six guests around a traditional farmhouse table, The perfect setting to share food, wine and conversation late into the evening. Enthusiastic chefs will love creating a feast in the well-equipped spacious kitchen. With a plethora of delicious local produce available right on the doorstep, a night dining in is a must! Thoughtfully furnished, a large cosy sitting room features ample comfortable seating on inviting sofas. With a Smart television and wood burning stove, this is a welcoming place to relax after a day spent exploring the big outdoors. French doors open out to the garden to allow fresh sea air to drift through on a warm summer day. Three inviting bedrooms are located on the first floor. A grand master bedroom hosts a king-size bed, and is served by an en suite shower room with walk-in shower. Bedroom two also offers a king-size bed, with twin beds provided in bedroom three. All bedrooms are decorated in muted coastal inspired tones with beds dressed in fine linens, ensuring guests can enjoy deep restorative sleep. A modern family bathroom, featuring bath with shower over, completes this floor.
Outside the cottage, lawn is laid to the front and large paved patio circumvented by a planted border is situated to the rear. A brick shed houses a barbecue and logs, and makes ideal secure storage for bikes. Ample parking on a shared gravel driveway is available in front of the house.

This is a really lovely cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location yet in the heart of the village. It is very well appointed, well equipped with everything you need, cosy and stylish. There is even a barn owl in the trees. We would have no hesitation in booking the property again. Thornham itself is ideally situated for a holiday in the area, a short walk to a wonderful beach and/or nature reserve, perfect for dogs and on the coast road for easy access to the surrounding villages either by car or regular buses. Three excellent public houses too.

The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. It was an ideal location for us as birdwatching enthusiasts. The tawny owl calling outside after nightfall was a bonus. Showers were excellent and beds comfortable and there was a good sized living room and kitchen space for 6 of us. The heating worked well and with some logs on the wood stove made for a cosy stay. Possibly another couple of serving bowls would help but generally there was a good supply of equipment, including plenty of large plates and cutlery. And food preparation knives were sharp and served our two nights eating in very well. A little milk in the starter pack would have been useful, perhaps rather than the prosecco. Overall the place was very suitable for our 4 nights.
