Forge Cottage is a beautiful detached house in a central, yet very peaceful position in Thornham. Overlooking fields with distant views to the marshes from the first floor, this hideaway provides sunny, light and spacious accommodation with the added benefits of an enclosed garden and being situated a short walk from the village pub. The beach can also be reached within half an hour by foot.
A family-friendly cottage, Forge Cottage is bright and airy throughout. With the great advantage of a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, his property is an ideal choice for multi-generational holidays or two families. Thoughtfully decorated throughout, the sitting/dining area is wonderfully welcoming with large Georgian style windows to two aspects. A wood burning stove adds extra warmth and ambient light during cooler months. The well-equipped kitchen offers modern appliances and plenty of work top space should you wish to cook at home. And for those who like a quiet space to read and relax, the conservatory provides an extra quiet sanctuary for getting away from the television. Bedroom three on this ground floor hosts a double bed and is served by an en suite bathroom. Upstairs, two further inviting bedrooms are presented. There is a double aspect master bedroom offering a king-size bed, with bunk beds in bedroom two. A family bathroom with bath and rainfall style shower is also located on this floor.
Outside, the fully enclosed gardens to the rear of Forge Cottage are laid to lawn and there is a fully enclosed paved area with garden furniture that is a real sun trap. There is ample off-road parking available on the driveway to the front of the property, and the cottage is right on the Coasthopper bus route, which runs regularly to the other lovely villages along the coast.

A spacious house inside and out and the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for your stay. However note that the bbq will require bbq coals if you wish to use it. There are three pubs/restaurants within a few minutes walk of the house and a deli nearby. So a well positioned house just off the main road with private parking for 2/3 cars. There is a lovely walk from the house along raised paths and boardwalks to Holme beach and you can continue on to old Hunstanton which is about 10 miles return. So an ideal cottage to stay when exploring this part of Norfolk.

First experience of Forge Cottage was when we turned into the drive and first impression was it looked good. This was further embellished when we entered the kitchen and saw the welcome bags, one from the owners and the other from NH. These came as a welcome surprise as the pre-holiday literature informed that there would be no welcome packs - so our grateful thanks to both parties which certainly added to our 2024 Norfolk experience. The house was extremely comfortable and once we fathomed the TV, proved to be an ideal base. The conservatory was a boon with the sunny weather experience. Only gripes would be no bread bin or oven gloves and a TV instruction detail would have been of use. But we have to say these did not affect our enjoyment of staying at this comfortable and well-appointed house - major tick for our Norfolk holiday. Many thanks. looking forward to Norfolk 2025!!

Large downstairs area. Large outside areas. 1 downstairs bedroom. 2 toilets. Very clean and well maintained. Great property in a quiet northern Norfolk area.
