This really is a sociable house, complimented with large doors from the dining area opening onto a mature garden with lots of space to relax and unwind. The addition of a rope swing also makes this a great space for children to play while you are getting ready for a great day out. This lovely, private garden and patio space coupled with the wood burning stove makes this a really great choice for your break whatever the season where sunny swimming, sandy toes or blustery beach walks await year-round.
This house is great for families and couples alike as it boasts light and airy accommodation throughout in five bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor and a further three bedrooms on the first floor. There are also an impressive four bathrooms, one of which has a shower, making this property perfect groups including guests who don’t want to attempt unfamiliar stairs. The house was great, had enough rooms and facilities for 3 generations of family. As mentioned before in a review the beds and seating area were very low for older generation to get out of. The kitchen had very basic equipment although alot of cupboards. The house was missing those finishing touches. It felt like it wasn't finished with filled in wholes not painted, wardrobes with bare wood shelves. Could have done with a mirror in main bathroom and a lock. Great location with loads of space but could do with a little tlc.

Cedar lodge is a beautiful house with a massive garden and lots of space. It is modern and comfortable and Overstrand is a lovely location.There were a couple of issues for us. 1) We had 2 people with us with mobility issues and they found the beds and sofas low and hard to get in and out of.2) The appliances were all good, but some user manuals would have been helpful.3) There were a few things that given the price/size of the property I felt should have been there, eg toilet brushes in all bathrooms, oven gloves, user manuals, more baking trays and cooking utensils4) the garden is of 2 parts, the main part is large and has fence but my dog found a way through it into the second part which is very overgrown, we lost him in there a couple of times and when he came back he was very messy. I contacted the owner to check that the 2nd part was secure and they responded immediately with the fact that it was.I would happily stay there again but with different people.In Overstrand I cannot recommend the Sea Marge Hotel and Cliff Top Cafe enough, both are excellent and so helpful. If you stay at Cedar lodge be sure to visit both of them.
